Il labirinto più grande e magico del mondo

🇮🇹 JJ: Circa due anni fa lessi in una rivista un articolo che parlava della realizzazione del Labirinto e fu amore a prima vista! Poi a maggio di quest’anno la meravigliosa notizia: il Labirinto di Franco Maria Ricci apre le sue porte al pubblico! E direi che basta anche una singola foto per capire che questo è davvero un posto unico perciò non potevamo non visitarlo e non parlartene qui.

🇬🇧 JJ: About two years ago, I read about the project of this Labyrinth and it was love at first sight! Then on may the amazing news: Franco Maria Ricci’ Labyrinth open his doors to the public! And I think it takes only a singular photo to realize that this place is unique, so we could not to write about it here.

🇮🇹 Franco Maria Ricci, noto designer, editore e collezionista, ha impiegato 10 preziosi anni a questo progetto trasformando la sua tenuta di Fontanellato (Parma) nel più grande e magico labirinto del mondo. Sì hai letto bene, il più grande del mondo! 7 ettari di terreno, circa 200.000 piante di bambù di 20 specie diverse (che ne fanno la piantagione più estesa d’Europa), 5.000 metri quadrati di spazi culturali e circa 500 opere d’arte. Ma lasciamo da parte un attimo i numeri e concentriamoci sui dettagli. La struttura è moderna ma allo stesso tempo rievoca il passato non solo per le opere che racchiude ma anche e soprattutto per i simboli che misteriosamente espone, primo fra tutti la grande piramide.

🇬🇧 Franco Maria Ricci, a famous Italian designer, publisher and collector, dedicated 10 precious years to this project and he transformed his property of Fontanellato (Parma) into the biggest and the most magic Labyrinth of the world. Yeah, you read well. the biggest of the world! 7 hectares of environment, 200.000 bamboo plants of 20 different species (the largest of all Europe), 5.000 square metres of cultural spaces and about 500 artworks. But leaving aside numbers for a minute and focus on details. The building is modern but remember the past at the same time, not only for ancient artworks inside, but most of all for mysterious symbols shown, like the big pyramid.

🇮🇹 Il Labirinto è curatissimo. In alcuni punti i bambù sono talmente fitti da non lasciar filtrare nemmeno la luce del sole. Ti verrà fornita una cartina con le indicazioni per non perderti, ma noi ti consigliamo di perderti e seguire il tuo istinto per arrivare alla piramide! Noi ci siamo riusciti grazie a Nick, senza nemmeno dare una sbirciatina alla mappa, giuro nemmeno una sbirciatina 🙂 !. Non vogliamo aggiungere altro perché è un’esperienza molto personale, ci sentiamo solo di darti uno spunto per vivere una giornata enigmatica immersi in un’atmosfera surreale e ti invitiamo a farci sapere quali sensazioni hai provato tu durante la visita. 🇬🇧 The Labyrinth is really well-finished. In some points, Bamboo are so deep that you can’t see sun-light. The reception will give you a map to find the route but we suggest you to get lost and follow your instinct. We’ve been successful , thanks to Nick we arrived at Pyramide without look the map, trust me we didn’t look at it 🙂 !
